What is Confirmation?

Confirmation completes what the Church calls the “ sacraments of initiation.” This means that having received new life in Christ (Baptism) and the food necessary to sustain that life (Eucharist), the sealing with the Gift of the Spirit (Confirmation) gives a person the wisdom and courage to live Christ’s life among family, friends, schoolmates, and work colleagues.

Who should be Confirmed?

Preparation for Confirmation should involve a person in a group of Catholics serious about their faith and eager to be Catholic in more than name only.

When is Confirmation?

The date for the 2016-2017 Confirmation class will be announced shortly.

What Confirmation program will be used?

To accent the role of peer formation along with instruction and to make sure candidates for Confirmation have an experience of absorbing elements of good disciplship from their peers – and those already confirmed, the Confirmation readiness program uses a blend of resources from both Ascension Press and Dynamic Catholic
